Word on the street is…The Real Housewives of Potomac cast has doubts about Karen Huger‘s reason for missing the season nine reunion.
Specifically, Wendy Osefo questions the timing of the Grande Dame seeking treatment at a private rehab facility following her DUI conviction in January.
“It’s kind of interesting that she’s doing it before her sentencing,” Wendy ponders in E! News’ exclusive sneak peek at part one of the reunion, airing Feb. 16. “And I’m wondering, ‘Is she doing it because she feels like she needs help, or is she doing it because she feels it will lighten the blow of the sentence?'”
The proposition angers season nine newbie Stacey Rusch, who tells the group, “Let’s give her grace. I’m just happy that she’s in recovery and taking care of herself.”
Still, Wendy thinks it is fair to ask questions about Karen’s ongoing legal and personal troubles.
“I get that, but I feel like sometimes what you’re trying to say is by us questioning her as a friend, you’re trying to lessen what we’re saying and that’s not fair,” she tells Stacey in the preview. “This doesn’t have to be cooker cutter all the time. Because a friendship is also being honest.”
