Not that she’s afraid of the struggle.

As Carly grows older, her hope for their future relationship “is whatever she wants,” Catelynn stressed. “Whether she just wants a relationship with her biological siblings, if she wants to have a relationship with us, awesome. If she doesn’t, totally understand. Whatever that looks like for her. Because it needs to be adoptee-centered.”

As for her and Tyler’s other daughters, “We’ve been very open and honest with our children that we’re parenting about Carly and the decisions,” she noted. “Nova will meet a stranger and tell them my whole adoption journey. And it’s just because we’ve been so open with it.”

Photos of Carly still line the house. “I think it’s just normal for them,” Catelynn shared. “But I do think that it is hard when they ask questions like, ‘Why aren’t we seeing her?’ Because that, in turn, affects them too.”

Decades after they connected in middle school, she and Tyler, 33, might not have imagined their future would still be together, but they’re not the only Teen Mom stars who have graduated to very adult relationships. Check out the other franchise stars who have found their perfect match.
