Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes Cheer Together While Celebrating Chiefs AFC Win

Taylor Swift turned to her friend when she needed to calm down.

Following her boyfriend Travis Kelce‘s Kansas City Chiefs win against the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship, the “Cruel Summer” singer shared that she texted Brittany Mahomes leading up to the NFL game in order to find some peace of mind.

“I just did not know what to do,” Taylor told Travis’ mom Donna Kelce on the field, as seen in a video shared to X Jan. 27, “and I would just text Brittany and be like, ‘Tell me it’s going to be OK.'”

But the Grammy winner’s nerves didn’t disappear right away. In fact, she expressed her gratitude to Brittany—who is married to Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes—for being a shoulder to lean on for some time.

“Oh my god,” she told the former soccer player, “you kept me so calm the last couple weeks.”

Of course, in the end, Taylor got the outcome she wanted, with the Kansas City Chiefs advancing to the 2025 Super Bowl, where they’ll face off against the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans on Feb. 9. But there were still a few high-pressure game-time moments along the way.
