For the first time in almost 20 years, Jumps racing is back at Windsor! We’ve got seven races over obstacles for you to enjoy – all live on Sky Sports Racing…

12.12 Windsor – Excello and Ma Shantou headline

The Nicky Henderson-trained Excello looked an exciting prospect over fences when winning at Ascot but has since reverted to hurdles where he recently finished second following a break at Ascot. He will be well-fancied to get his head back in front here.

Harry Cobden rode Ma Shantou to a wide-margin success at Warwick and keeps the ride for Emma Lavelle. He rates as a big danger having done little wrong on both starts over hurdles.

Illegal d’Ainay is another that could be competitive for Chris Gordon.

12.45 Windsor – The Famous Five, Helnwein and Tedley clash

Alan King’s Helnwein made a promising start to his chasing career when finishing second behind Telepathique who subsequently went on to finish placed in a listed contest and is fancied to build on this effort under Tom Cannon.

In-form duo Venetia Williams and Charlie Deutsch team up with The Famous Five who returned following a 252-day break in the Grade 3 Gerry Fielden hurdle at Newbury and will strip fitter for the run on his chase debut.

The most experienced chaser in the field is Nigel Twiston-Davies’ Tedley who has tackled the larger obstacles four times now including finishing behind Kalif Du Berlais at Newbury. This five-year-old should put his experience to good use here and will be a big player under 7lb claimer Jamie Brace.

1.55 – Jeffery’s Cross returns from a lengthy break to contest chase

The Skeltons’ Jeffery’s Cross is a consistent type over fences and landed a nice pot at Haydock in April 2023 but will need to defy a lengthy break if he is to win here.

Venetia Williams’ unexposed chaser Tanganyika made his chase debut at Bangor-on-Dee last time, finishing a respectable fifth following a break and looks to have a great chance despite conditions not being exactly in his favour.

Veteran Cap Du Nord makes his 64th racecourse appearance and is a solid horse on his going day. Although he hasn’t shown much in recent starts, he remains of interest and has been dropped to his last winning mark of 122, which came at Perth.

Ballycamus is 2-8 over fences and is knocking on the door off his mark of 120.

Best of the rest

In the 2.30 in East Berkshire, Harry Cobden takes the ride on Asian Spice for trainer Jimmy Frost – a horse who will be looking to build on an impressive five-length success at Exeter on his most recent appearance. Bellbird and Hedera Park are likely to rival him under Charlie Maggs and Gavin Sheehan respectively.

At 3.05pm, Duhallow Tommy will look to improve on his third following a long break last time out at Fontwell in the hands of Kevin Brogan. Another likely contender is Reilly, who goes for the Dan Skelton team.
