It’s all about Sedgefield and Fontwell on Sunday, with both tracks hosting an exciting jumps card – live on Sky Sports Racing…

3.20 Fontwell – Hat-trick-seeking Epic West faces Glynn Brae

Jamie Snowden saddles Epic West who arrives unbeaten in two starts over hurdles and this imposing type could take this BetGoodwin Best New UK Bookie EBF ‘National Hunt’ Novices’ Hurdle before stepping up in class.

Glynn Brae justified favouritism when scoring on his hurdles bow in October before running with credit under a penalty the last twice. Receiving a handy 4lb from Epic West, he rates a big danger for the Twiston-Davies team.

Kap Quest showed a game attitude to land the odds at Exeter last month in the JP McManus silks and merits respect for the in-form Harry Fry yard.

4.13 Sedgefield – Saligo Bay and Freddy Robinson headline

Brian Ellison’s Freddy Robinson has taken well to hurdling, winning twice and finishing placed on two of his eight starts. Off since November, he will hope to step forward on his latest runner-up effort at Musselburgh in this Premier Flex Plus Canine Joint Supplement Handicap Hurdle.

Saligo Bay remains on a competitive mark over hurdles and arrives fit from a few runs on the flat. He must be considered if able to recapture the pick of his old form for Sam England.

Restandbethankful will need to bounce back from a lacklustre performance at Catterick, while Klitschko has slipped to a career-low rating after only managing a fourth-placed finish on his comeback from a wind operation.

3.50 Fontwell – Grove Road and Samourai One clash

A trappy BetGoodwin Super Tommy Cannon Handicap Chase where Grove Road tops a field of eight.

The James Owen-trained nine-year-old is yet to win in seven attempts over fences but only narrowly failed to see off Jo Lescribaa at Uttoxeter and a repetition of that form would see him go close.

Lucy Wadham’s Samourai One doubled his tally over fences when scoring at Fakenham and this lightly-raced type must be feared off this 3lb higher mark.

Last year’s winner Gold Clermont completes the shortlist.
