Holding a diamond is nothing new for Jennifer Tilly.

In fact, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘ newest cast member shared some surprising insight into her impressive financial standings during the Bravo series’ Dec. 3 episode.

“My ex-husband was Sam Simon, who created The Simpsons,” the Chucky actress explained in a confessional. “I was married to him for seven years and we were together for about 10 years. And then, when we got divorced, I got a piece of The Simpsons in the divorce settlement, and nobody knew that The Simpsons was going to go on for trillions of years.”

Tilly, who divorced Simon in 1991 nearly two decades before his 2015 death, added of the ongoing royalties, “So every day, honestly, every day I’m like, ‘Thank you, Sam!'”

The 66-year-old previously shared during a 2021 appearance on Los Angeles Magazine‘s The Originals podcast that her portion of Simon’s residuals amounted to around one-third of his ongoing earnings from The Simpsons.
