Prime Big Deal Days Samsung The Frame dupe: Save big on the Hisense Canvas TV

SAVE UP TO $498: As of Oct. 8, every size of the Hisense Canvas art TV is on sale at Amazon for Prime Big Deal Days. The best discounts are 30% off the 55-inch Canvas and 28% off the 75-inch Canvas.

Any time Samsung’s The Frame goes on sale during a big internet sale event, it’s automatically one of our favorite TV deals. But even with some sizes at 50% off for Prime Big Deal Days, I still wouldn’t necessarily call The Frame budget-friendly. For everyone looking for an art TV that’s even more affordable, Amazon also has the Hisense Canvas on sale.

Each 2025 Hisense Canvas TV is significantly cheaper than every respective Frame TV between 55 and 85 inches. The 30% off discount on the 55-inch Canvas and the 28% discount on the 75-inch Canvas are the best deals of the bunch. Here are the exact numbers for comparison’s sake:

  • 55-inch Hisense Canvas TV — $695.99 $999.99 (save $304) vs. the 55-inch Samsung The Frame on sale for $974.95 or $797.99 for the 2024 model

  • 65-inch Hisense Canvas TV — $998 $1,199.99 (save $201.99) vs. the 65-inch Samsung The Frame on sale for $1,357.99 or $1,197.96 for the 2024 model

  • 75-inch Hisense Canvas TV — $1,299.99 $1,797.99 (save $498) vs. the 75-inch Samsung The Frame on sale for $1,699.99 at Samsung, sold out at Amazon

  • 85-inch Hisense Canvas TV — $1,997.99 $2,097.99 (save $100) vs. the 85-inch Samsung The Frame on sale for $3,297.99 or $2,737.99 for the 2024 model

(The Canvas doesn’t come in a 43-inch model, so The Frame wins by default there.)

Note that, depending on your location, certain models may show as “Temporarily out of stock” on Amazon, so if the one you want is available, it’s worth jumping on it quickly.

Deputy shopping editor Miller Kern has a Hisense Canvas TV hanging in a gallery wall of actual framed art, and this thing is chic. “The CanvasTV has a matte finish that makes it look less like a TV and more like a giant picture frame. It’s not totally glare-proof, but it does look really nice whether the TV is on or off. The TV itself looks stupid good in a gallery wall and really does blend in with other artwork and wall hangings, especially in art mode.” As a QLED TV, the Hisense Canvas will do its best work while watching or displaying in daylight. If you’re upgrading from a plain ol’ LED TV, you’ll notice the difference in brightness and color saturation immediately.

The option for a non-Samsung art TV is great news for people who don’t vibe with Samsung’s… unique smart TV interface. “I’m a big fan of the TV’s Google interface and find it way more intuitive and responsive than Samsung’s,” Miller told me.

Each Hisense Canvas TV comes with an ultra-slim magnetic teak frame that you can click on or off, depending on how far you want to stray from the tech-y TV look. The included wall mount can be pushed in further than a typical TV mount, letting the TV lie flush with the wall for a more realistic framed art look.
