Kate Cassidy is cherishing her midnight memories of Liam Payne.

On her first Valentine’s Day since the One Direction singer’s death, Kate received a special keepsake honoring their two-year romance: A framed photo collage of herself and Liam with an inscription of their initials and the angel number 444.

“Couldn’t ask for a better best friend,” the influencer wrote on Instagram Stories Feb. 14, thanking pal Alexandra DiMaria for the heartfelt memento. “This Valentines gift is so special.”

In another post, Kate reflected on how she and Liam were “seeing the northern lights exactly a year ago today for valentines.”

Posting a screenshot of multiple notifications from an app that tracks aurora sightings, the 25-year-old wrote, “came across this while I first woke up.”

“Signs are real,” she added. “Happy valentines day liam.”

Liam died on Oct. 16 at age 31 after falling from a third-floor hotel balcony in Argentina. At the time, he had been vacationing in Buenos Aires with Kate, who returned stateside just days prior to care for their dog Nala.
