KPop Demon Hunters Singer Rei Ami Teases Sequel

Rei Ami didn’t think too far outside the golden box when coming up with her Halloween costume this year.

The singer behind the musical voice of KPop Demon Hunters‘ Zoey dressed up as the animated character for Heidi Klum‘s 24th Annual Halloween Party, slaying the first look her character wears in the film—patchwork parachute pants while jumping out of a plan, naturally—with down-to-the-last-detail styling.

How it’s done, indeed.

“Oh my god, it’s everywhere, I can’t get a break from it,” Rei told E! News on the red carpet outside New York’s Hard Rock Hotel Oct. 31, referring to the ubiquity of KPop Demon Hunter-inspired costumes this year. “And I’m not complaining, please!”

The 30-year-old showed off the intricate embroidery, noting the symbolic sea turtle and a hibiscus, which is the national flower of South Korea. And to complement Zoey’s shin-kal (aka her magical throwing knives), Rei also sported a fierce manicure.

All told, she shared, it only took her “like three hours” to get ready, assuring E!, “It wasn’t bad.”

But admittedly, Rei added, “I really put my tailor through it. I sent my measurements in like a week ago. He has not slept.”
