So, ahead of a recent cookout, the 36-year-old told her daughter she would not be allowed to attend if she continued to misbehave. And the next day, she overheard a concerning conversation between her and her other daughter Tyler.
“Tyler looks at her and said, ‘Wow, you look really pretty in that outfit,’” she recalled. But in response, her other daughter “turned to her, and she looked her up and down—I watched her—and she goes, ‘You look gross.’”
After seeing Tyler burst into tears and retreat to her room, Kelly found it difficult to hold back her anger.
“I’m like, ‘I have tried everything,’” she told her daughter at the time. “’I have tried sitting near your room. I’ve tried taking things away. I have tried just talking to you like a young woman that you are. Nothing is working. I’m exhausted.’”
“And I told her, ‘It’s not fair to your sisters that all of my energy right now is going to you every day because you are acting up,’” she continued. “‘You are causing issues. I don’t know if it’s for attention. Tell me, do you need more from me? Is there something going on in your life that I’m not aware of?’”
