Selena shared the life update to her Instagram, posting a photo of her marquise-cut diamond ring and writing, “Forever begins now..”
And Benny quickly jumped in her comments, gushing, “Hey wait…that’s my wife.”
Although the duo had known each other for years, it wasn’t until July 2023 that they officially started dating. And to hear Benny tell it, he didn’t even realize the “Who Says” singer was interested in him the first time they got together.
“It was so crazy,” Benny told Howard Stern in May, “when we went out on our first date, I didn’t even know it was a date. She was like, ‘Hey, you want to hang out?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah.'”
But as he recalled, Selena was “such a forward person and she’s like the coolest, the nicest, the sweetest, everything.”
“I remember sitting there,” he continued, “and she’s like, ‘Well I would’ve worn something different for this date.’ And I was like, ‘What? We’re on a date?'”
