Google Pixel 10 teasers are getting out of hand

When is a teaser no longer a teaser, but an actual announcement? If we had to draw a line somewhere, we’d say that teasers should never show you the whole phone. But Google seems to disagree.

As noticed by leaker Mukul Sharma on Twitter, Google’s official Pixel store now features a video which morphs the number 10 into an image of the Pixel 10, the very phone that Google is about to launch.

Sure, the photo is pretty dark and we don’t see the phone from the front. But it’s basically a photo of the entire phone, so…thank you, Google?

In any case, the photo shows the Pixel 10 in a silvery color, with a large, horizontal camera bump on the back hiding three cameras. The entire thing doesn’t really look all that different from the Pixel 9 Pro, which also has a triple rear camera, though it’s not available in this color.

The official launch date for the Pixel 10 family of products is about a month away on Aug. 20. While it’s a little early to show the entire phone, Google probably wanted to get ahead of the leaks and just give us a nice, official image. Note that this is just one device we’ve seen, while Google is likely to launch multiple phones, including the Pixel 10 Fold, in August.
