Donald Trump Says Prince William Gave Him Update on Wife’s Health

Donald Trump has a royal update.

The United States President-elect shared insight from his recent meeting with Prince William at the U.K. Ambassador’s Residence in Paris, which included learning how Kate Middleton and King Charles III were doing following their respective cancer battles earlier this year.

“I asked him about his wife and he said she’s doing well. And I asked him about his father and his father is fighting very hard, and he loves his father and he loves his wife,” Trump told the New York Post Dec. 8 about his one-on-one meeting with William. “So it was sad.”

The 78-year-old noted that he spoke with William, 42, for “a little more than half an hour,” adding, “We had a great, great, talk.”

Beyond the updates on Charles and Kate—with whom William shares Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6—Trump also shared his take on how William himself was looking as they attended the reopening of the Notre Dame Cathedral. After all, the royal has been spotting a bearded look over the last few months.
