Dave Grohl, Jordyn Blum Make First Joint Red Carpet Appearance Since Baby Revelation

Dave Grohl couldn’t keep some things in everlong.

It’s why he decided to share in September 2024 the fact he’d fathered a child outside of his over two-decade-long marriage to Jordyn Blum, with whom he shares three daughters.

As for deciding to make the admission on social media, Dave told The Guardian in an interview published March 20, “I had to turn everything off, one of those things being my concern for what other people think. Being able to shut off that part of yourself can be sometimes a very healthy exercise in considering life within your immediate radius. Not giving all of that so much currency within yourself that it can completely destroy yourself.”

During the interview, the Foo Fighters front man discussed how he’s been in therapy six times a week for 70 weeks, amounting to a current total of over 430 sessions—which would align with him starting shortly after admitting his affair.

And while Dave admitted there “were so many things that led” him to therapy, he refrained from discussing the cheating scandal in any more detail.
