The Mexican television community is mourning one of its brightest stars.

Daniel Bisogno, who cohosted the entertainment news show Ventaneando for nearly three decades, died Feb. 20 at age 51 following a recent operation, the program announced in a message on social media.

“It is with deepest sadness that we regret to report news we never wanted to give,” read a statement translated from Spanish and shared on Instagram. “Our beloved Daniel Bisogno has just passed away due to complications he suffered after the liver transplant he underwent last September.”

The message continued, “Ventaneando is mourning. Gone is one of our most outstanding members. Rest in peace. We will honor his memory always.”

A subsequent tribute from the program’s network Azteca Uno described Bisogno—who joined the series in 1997—as having “a laugh that will always be with us.”

“Daniel Bisogno (1973-2025) taught us that, even in the most difficult moments, there was always room for laughter,” the broadcaster’s Instagram post read via Spanish translation. “For 29 years on Ventaneando, his irony and charisma left their mark, but off-camera he was a generous and dedicated friend. Today we have his memory, his humor and gratitude for every laugh shared.”
