Chris Martin Jokes Concertgoers May Be “Having an Affair” After They Hide From Camera
Chris Martin is having the adventure of a lifetime.
Moments before making a quip about Astronomer CEO Andy Byron allegedly “having an affair” when the fan cam at his July 15 concert in Massachusetts showed the tech entrepreneur in a close embrace with a woman, the Coldplay frontman jokingly grilled an engaged couple about their relationship status.
As seen in videos circulating on social media, Martin noticed two fans carrying a sign reading, “Just engaged! Can we sing ‘Magic’ together?” Upon inviting them to the stage, the 49-year-old asked, “Just to be clear: You’re engaged to each other?”
After the couple nodded their heads, Martin cheekily remarked, “We don’t want any surprises.”
Ironically, the musician did get taken aback when he later spotted Byron hugging a female concertgoer on the jumbotron.
“Ooh, look at these two,” Martin said, before the woman quickly covered her face with her hands and Byron ducked out of sight. “Whoa, okay! Either they’re having an affair or they’re just really shy.”
He added, “Oh s–t, I hope we didn’t do something bad.”
