A wildlife photographer from Bangalore, India, was on safari with his son, when they spotted a deceptively hidden leopard cub hanging out of a tree with its mom.

Dad Mohan Thomas loves photographing animals and nature and hopes his work will inspire more people to love and conserve them as he does, he told the Epoch Times.

Using his Nikon D4 and 600-millimeter F4 lens, Thomas snapped this extraordinary shot of a leopard mom lounging in the bow of a tree in Kabini, in Nagarahole Tiger Reserve.

What one might not notice in the picture, though, is a playful leopard cub mischievously hiding among the branches, as mom looks on.

“On this lucky afternoon safari, we spotted a leopard on a branch of a tree, later we saw she had a cub also with her,” said Thomas. “The cub was peeping at us from the Y-shaped trunk of the tree.”

Look closely at the photo. Can you spot the leopard cub hiding amidst the branches with his mom?

The native Bangalorean has been taking photographs for the past 22 years. You can see more of Thomas’s work on his website mohanthomasphotography.com.
