Shall we play a game?

What walks on four legs in the morning, two legs at noon, and three legs in the evening? This is a riddle from the ancient Greeks, known as the Riddle of the Sphinx—you’ve probably heard it before. And the answer is: a man.

Here’s another, less famous, “leg riddle,” one that you might not have heard before. It’s a little more modern than that last one—but no less tricky!

The riddle goes as follows:

You have 3 cows, 2 dogs, and 1 cat. How many legs do you have?

(The Epoch Times)

Get out your calculator or feel free to count them one by one if multiplication isn’t your thing. It should be fairly simple and straightforward. When you think you know the answer, scroll down to see the solution.

The answer is 2, of course!

Did you get the right answer? Pretty hilarious, huh?! The ancient Greeks weren’t the only ones who knew how be creative with words! Alternatively, taking a cue from the ancient Greeks, you could have answered differently depending on what stage in life you are in: 4 legs in the morning, or 3 in the evening.

If you found this riddle as hilarious as we did, then share it with your friends and family members on social media and see how they fare counting their legs!
