Can You Move 2 Coins to Make a Triangle Shape? (There Are 2 Answers; Can You Get Both?)

A handful of spare change is all you‘ll need to play this game. So, check your pockets; you’ll need at least nine coins.

Coins ready?

Okay, here is a geometric coin puzzle for you to try. Arrange your nine coins in a square shape per the illustration below. Your task is to move two of the coins to make the square into a triangle shape. You can move them anywhere, but you can only move two coins, and you have to use all nine coins. Can you solve it?

You’re going to have to use your heads for this puzzle—tails is fine, too—and do try thinking outside of the box.
