Jacob Bethell is making quite the name for himself on England’s Test tour of New Zealand – and you can watch him in action this winter when he plays in the Big Bash League, live on Sky Sports.

The 21-year-old – who struck 50 off 37 balls and then 96 off 118 against the Black Caps – was signed by Melbourne Renegades in September’s draft and will be one of a number of English players involved in Australia’s domestic T20 tournament.

All 44 matches will be live on Sky Sports, with Bethell set for a short stint with Renegades between the end of the New Zealand series and his likely inclusion in the white-ball games in India (five T20 internationals, three one-day internationals) in January and February.

Ollie Pope and Surrey team-mate Jamie Overton were picked up by Adelaide Strikers, while Ben Duckett will play for Melbourne Stars and Chris Jordan will feature for Hobart Hurricanes.

The Big Bash League runs from December 15 – the opening match is Stars vs five-time champions Perth Scorchers (8.15am UK) – through to the final on January 27.

Renegades will be looking for a Big Bash double, with their women’s side having won the WBBL for the first time when they beat Brisbane Heat in the final on December 1.
