3 – The Chiefs return to the Super Bowl seeking to become the first team to complete a hat-trick of triumphs. Their opponents are the Eagles, who they defeated 38-35 in the Championship game two years ago thanks to Harrison Butker’s 27-yard field goal with eight seconds remaining.
7 – The Chiefs have reached the AFC Championship game in all seven seasons since Patrick Mahomes took over as the full-time starting quarterback. That is one shy of the overall record held by Tom Brady’s New England Patriots, with eight appearances from the 2011-2018 seasons.

His 17 playoff wins are also the second most by a quarterback in NFL history, behind only Brady’s 35.
