SAG Awards 2025: Here’s What Selena Gomez Mouthed While Accepting Her Surprising Win

Steve Martin has nothing but pride for his Only Murders in the Building costars.

The Hulu series had a big night at the 2025 SAG Awards Feb. 23, winning both categories it was nominated in: Martin Short won for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series and the cast won for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. And while stars like Selena Gomez, Molly Shannon and Kumail Nanjiani were there to accept the awards, both Martin and Short were absent from the 56th annual award show—but that didn’t stop them from celebrating their castmates from afar.

“I’m the buddy of a winner!” the It’s Complicated star captioned an Instagram video of the cast members that attended saying “we still don’t believe it!” in unison the morning after the ceremony. “Congratulations to Martin Short for his best comedy actor award, and thank you SAG for our comedy ensemble award!”

Meanwhile, Short recognized his win in humble fashion, despite not being able to accept the trophy in person.
