2024 Emmys: Sheryl Lee Ralph Wants This A-List Actor to Play Her Brother on ‘Abbott Elementary’
Sheryl Lee Ralph is teaching everyone a thing or two about how to have a long, happy marriage.
The Abbott Elementary star has been married to Vincent Hughes since 2005, but she admitted she and the Pennsylvania state senator don’t live in the same city. Still, their bond remains as strong as ever.
“My husband and I are technically very married,” Sheryl told People at the Out100 event in Los Angeles Dec. 11, where she received the Advocate of the Year Award. “People always say, ‘Well, how does that work? How does that work?’ I [say], ‘Dolly Parton knows how it works.’ She’s been married [to Carl Thomas Dean] for 50 years. You have never seen her husband one time.”
“You know why?” she continued. “‘Cause they plan on staying married. And guess what we plan on? Staying married.”
Indeed, Sheryl stressed that she and Vincent know how to spend quality time together. As she put it, “Our business is in the bedroom. Thank you!”
