Selma Blair knows Robbie Williams had no cruel intentions.
The Legally Blonde alum recently admitted to having an “almost” date with the Better Man rocker nearly three decades ago but revealed the insatiable reason he left her house earlier than expected.
“He opened up my refrigerator and he’s like, ‘I gotta go,’” Selma said during the Feb. 11 episode of The Drew Barrymore Show. “I heard from [our] friend. I’m like, ‘Why did he leave so abruptly?’ He was like, ‘Oh, your kitchen was empty and he knew you don’t cook, so that wasn’t gonna work for him.’”
But instead of being offended, the 52-year-old—who went on to welcome son Arthur, 13, with ex Jason Bleick—took the short-lived romance in stride, giving kudos to the musician for knowing what he wanted.
“Bravo to him for knowing he needed a tummy filled from his woman,” she continued. “I probably had like a bottle of champagne and a Fig Newton in the fridge. So, he judged accurately that I wasn’t the one that was going to nourish him.”
