Nintendo just gave us the clearest picture yet of what the Switch 2’s first year will look like. After the latest Nintendo Direct, we finally have a roadmap of every major title coming in 2025, and the lineup is stacked with nostalgia, blockbuster sequels, and a few surprises that I never thought we would see so early in the system’s life.
For me, the first-party slate is almost overwhelming. Metroid Prime 4 Beyond is finally real, Pokémon Legends Z-A looks like the boldest step the series has taken in years, and we are even getting both Super Mario Galaxy games bundled together. Nintendo is making sure its new console feels essential before 2025 is even over.

But the third-party side is just as strong. JRPGs, fighters, action RPGs, and even SpongeBob are all showing up to flesh out the Switch 2’s library. Here’s every confirmed release so far, complete with prices, preorder links, and details.

Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2
Both Super Mario Galaxy games are finally collected into one remastered package. The original Galaxy reinvented 3D platforming with its creative use of gravity, tiny spherical planets, and one of the best soundtracks Nintendo has ever produced. Galaxy 2 doubled down with even more inventive levels and introduced Yoshi into the mix. Both games now run in crisp HD with smoother performance, making them feel brand new while preserving their original charm.

Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment
The Hyrule Warriors series has always thrived on massive battles and lore-driven spinoffs. This new entry goes darker, exploring the war-torn years before Tears of the Kingdom. Kirby Air Riders
The long-requested revival of Kirby Air Ride has finally arrived. This Switch 2 version adds online play, remastered tracks, and expanded City Trial mode. Kirby games usually lean toward accessibility, but Air Ride is one of the most competitive spinoffs Nintendo ever made. The remake looks gorgeous in HD, and with online multiplayer, it finally has the chance to build a dedicated community.

After years of waiting, Samus Aran’s next adventure is finally here.
