Miranda Lambert is not letting her critics give her a broken heart.
Nearly two weeks after she announced that she would be opening for Morgan Wallen on his I’m The Problem tour, the “Mama’s Broken Heart” singer responded to “mean tweets” from fans that have shared their disappointment in the decision.
“I’m reading through the comments of the Morgan Wallen tour announcement,” Miranda said in a Feb. 4 Instagram video, “my comments on my Instagram.”
Scrolling through her phone, the 41-year-old read a collection of comments, including one who said, “This ain’t it, sis,” and another who added, “I’ll pass, I was the biggest Miranda fan.”
A third took their criticism a step further. “Miranda,” they wrote, “you’re clinging to something popular so you can try to stay relevant.”
Some critics were even more passionate in their approach, with one going as far as to say, “I’m so disappointed in both of you. May god forgive you both.”
