Kris Boyd is receiving medical care after a night out took a violent turn.

The New York Jets cornerback was hospitalized after he was shot in Manhattan in the early hours of Nov. 16, according to NBC News.

Officers responded to Sei Less restaurant in Midtown shortly after 2 a.m., where they found Boyd, 29, with a gunshot wound in his abdomen, the New York Police Department told the outlet. He was subsequently taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

The incident occurred after a fight took place involving Boyd, a law enforcement source told NBC News, adding that the bullet was lodged in the NFL star’s lung.

No arrests have been made thus far in connection with the case, authorities told the outlet.

Meanwhile, the Jets “are aware of the situation” involving Boyd, a spokesperson for the team said in a statement to NBC News, adding that the organization “will have no further comment at this time.”
