Kaitlyn Bristowe is asking for prayers.
The Bachelorette alum shared the heartbreaking news that her stepdad Rob has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.
“About 8 months ago, I asked everyone to pray for my stepdad, Rob,” Kaitlyn wrote on Instagram Aug. 30 alongside several photos of her and her stepdad spending quality time together. “I didn’t say why, but he was diagnosed with cancer and he was going into surgery to get it removed.”
And while the 40-year-old shared that doctors were able to remove all the cancer during the procedure at the time, they have since discovered that the disease has moved into his stomach during a follow-up scan.
“He is now battling an incurable stage 4 cancer,” she continued. “We are all devastated. I do believe he will beat the timeline given because he’s a stubborn strong warrior with a passion for life. But I really do believe in the power of prayer, the power of manifestation, and the power of love. So please send it all his way.”
