How Teen Mom’s Maci, Catelynn and Leah Talk to Their Kids About Sex

With three daughters inside her West Virginia home, Leah is similarly keyed in when it comes to more serious subjects.

“At first having those conversations, it’s a little awkward,” acknowledged the mom to 15-year-old twins Ali and Aleeah and 11-year-old Adalynn. “But it builds that trust. It builds that open communication with your kids to where now, like Maci said, it’s normalized. Even their friends will come over and we’re talking about it and it’s not as awkward now with time.”

So fans should expect to see the 32-year-old riff on everything from safe sex to underage drinking on the new season of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, which premieres on MTV Jan. 30 at 8 p.m.

“We talk a lot about drinking, drugs, alcohol,” detailed Leah, who shared her own experiences in her 2020 memoir Hope, Grace & Faith. “But I’ve also created that safe place for them at home, so friends will come over, they know the rules.”
