Drake Makes Lyric Change After Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl Performance

Having no friends in this industry doesn’t bother Drake.

After Kendrick Lamar dissed him during the Super Bowl LIX halftime show, the OVO founder seemingly responded to the performance during his own show in Melbourne.

During the Feb. 10 concert at the Rod Laver Arena, Drake rapped the lyrics to his song “Knife Talk,” featuring 21 Savage and Project Pat with a subtle twist in the last bar.

“When I see you, better put that f–kin’ pride to the side,” he said. “Many times, plenty times, I survived / Beef is live, spoiler alert, I never die.”

In the studio recording, however, the 38-year-old rapped, “Beef is live, spoiler alert, this n—a dies.”

E! News has reached out to Drake’s reps for comment and has not heard back.

Kendrick’s performance during the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles Feb. 9 made several digs at the “One Dance” musician. As the lights rose on the Caesars Superdome turf, fans wondered whether his medley would include the diss track “Not Like Us” as he began the show with “Squabble Up” before going into “Humble.”
