Deidre Hall, Jackée Harry and More Celebrate

Unlike sands through the hourglass, this celebration is far from fleeting.

Indeed, Days of our Lives—the iconic NBC soap opera that premiered Nov. 8, 1965, and included the likes of the late John Aniston, Drake Hogestyn and more—has officially been on the air for 60 years, making it one of the longest-running programs on TV to date.

And in honor of the historic milestone, a few of the show’s stars including Deidre Hall, Susan Hayes and Jackée Harry were front and center for the gala held in Los Angeles. But that’s not all, as fellow soap stars Raven Bowens, AnnaLynne McCord and Paul Telfer were also among the attendees for the festivities.

Ahead of the show’s anniversary, Deidre—who has portrayed psychiatrist Marlena Evans since 1976—reflected on the show’s longevity.

“None of us ever imagined being on this long,” she said during a joint Sept. 30 appearance with costars James Reynolds and Eric Martsolf on Today, “but it’s so good and it’s such a home and we love it, and I know we talk about family—it’s a family.”
