Caroline Dubois has set her sights on world title unifications and has called for a bout with Terri Harper next.

Dubois holds the WBC lightweight world championship, while rival Briton Harper is the WBO titlist.

“135lbs is my division. I want to be undisputed by the end of the year. That’s the goal, that’s the aim for me and we’re going to make it happen,” Dubois told Sky Sports.

“Unifications, challenging for undisputed, challenging for all the belts, challenging to make it happen. Anything that can make that happen as quickly as possible.”

Dubois didn’t quite get the birthday present she wanted on Saturday as she turned 24. She was gunning for a knockout victory over Jessica Camara.

She was looking for a stoppage finish, and subjected Camara to an unrelenting assault over two rounds. But when a cut caused by an accidental headbutt prevented Camara from continuing it meant the bout ended early as a technical draw.

Straight afterwards Dubois declared what she wanted next: “Terri Harper. That’s who I want. Terri Harper – I want you!”

Dubois told Sky Sports: “We got the Royal Albert Hall show coming up [on March 7]. That’s in London. Terri’s from England, I’m from England. It’s a domestic showdown. It makes sense. I don’t see why not.

“Fight me, you’re going to get beat but you’re going to get a big show, you’re going to get good pay, it’s going to make it worthwhile.”

Caroline Dubois on Terri Harper

Caroline Dubois is seeking a unification bout with Terri Harper in 2025 and was was unimpressed with her win over Rhiannon Dixon

Promoter Ben Shalom points out that Dubois has other options for a fight as soon as March 7.

“The idea is that she will fight on the women’s night and it will be a big fight,” Shalom told Sky Sports.

“We want her to become undisputed in the division. We think we can make that happen this year.”

He believes Dubois’ next fight should be a unification. “The focus for us is to get another belt. Obviously you’ve got Terri Harper, you’ve got Beatriz Ferreira [the IBF champion], and you’ve possibly got Stephanie Han [for the vacant] WBA title,” Shalom said.

“You’ve got those three on the list, Rhiannon Dixon’s on the list as well. That’s a great British fight. So she’s got options.”

Shalom expects to make the Harper fight at some point in 2025. “I think that will get made this year. I think we’ll see that this year,” he said.

Caroline Dubois sets out to leave her own legacy as new World Champion

Caroline Dubois says she doesn’t need a fight against Katie Taylor as she sets out to leave her own legacy in Boxing having been crowned the new WBC lightweight champion

“I think they’re open to it. It’s going to be expensive because no one really wants to fight Caroline. I think she’s the toughest fight in the division for everyone and it’s a money fight for anyone.

“She’s created a lot of hype around her. She’s a big name, a lot of people consider her the next face of women’s boxing and that means that the fighters want career high paydays to face Caroline Dubois.

“That’s what Terri Harper wants and I think that fight will be made this year.”

Natasha Jonas fights Lauren Price in a welterweight world title unification on March 7 live on Sky Sports.
