Caroline Dubois wants to win every major lightweight championship within the next 12 months.

Her plan for world domination starts on Saturday, when she puts the WBC belt on the line against Canada’s Jessica Camara, live on Sky Sports.

It will be Dubois’ first defence of the belt since being elevated from Interim to full world champion last month.

“Jessica Camara’s tough, she’s game, she’s coming here to win,” Dubois told Sky Sports News.

“But I’m better than her. I’m a better fighter. I’ve got more heart. I’ve got more desire. This is not where my journey ends. This is just the start.”

Caroline Dubois on Terri Harper

Dubois is seeking a unification bout with Terri Harper in 2025 and was was unimpressed with her win over Rhiannon Dixon

Her goal is “to be undisputed by the end of this year”. To achieve that, Dubois must first defend her WBC title against Camara and then look at fights for the other belts.

Terri Harper is the WBO titlist and Olympic silver medallist Beatriz Ferreira is the IBF champion. The WBA belt at 135lbs, held previously by Katie Taylor, is now vacant.

But Dubois believes picking up all those belts in 2025 is “very possible”.

She explained: “Since turning pro from amateur, pushing forward in my career, being world champion is the start for me.

“For me honestly I want to be undisputed, I want to be a multi-weight world champion. I want to do something that’s never been done before in female boxing and I feel like I can do that.

“I have the ability, I have the skill. It’s just about making it happen. The doors have to be opened at the right time.

“I’m very excited for the future,” Dubois added. “Being a world champion is every kid’s dream and I was able to make that happen and I was very happy for that.

“I want to be a champion that reigns for a very long time and I’ll be pushing for that Saturday.”
