iPads can hit some of their lowest prices of the year during Black Friday, but if you’re not a fan of how hectic it can get, you can still score solid deals if you shop early.
Black Friday sales have already kicked off at retailers like Best Buy and Walmart with deals on hot ticket items like tablets starting to roll in early. Plus, Amazon marks down Apple’s iPads year round, so even though their Black Friday sale doesn’t start until Nov. 21, there are plenty of iPad deals on our list below from the mega-retailer.

As for whether you’ll score significantly better prices during Black Friday, it’s hard to say. So far, we’ve seen the iPad Air hit $100 off, the new iPad mini hit $100 off, and the ninth generation iPad stick firmly around the $199.99 price tag it’s been at for the past few months. In any case, if there’s an iPad deal worth checking out, we’ll keep our list updated to reflect that.

We consider the iPad Air the best Apple tablet for most people: it has the flexibility to be a good school companion as it can be a laptop replacement or art tablet. The M2 chip also powers some older Pro models, but you’ll be saving a few hundred bucks (especially with this iPad deal).
At $499, this iPad is just a dollar away from its record low pricing, making it an excellent time to pick it up ahead of the holidays. If you’re looking to score the most savings possible, even if that means wading into the chaos of Black Friday, you might want to hold off— a drop to a record low price nearly two weeks before the sale might just mean Black Friday brings a new record low. Even so, two colors of this tablet have already sold out at Amazon, but Target does have all four colorways available on sale at the time of writing.
