Bachelorette’s Emily Maynard Is Going to Be a Grandma, Daughter Ricki Expecting Baby
Emily Maynard Johnson is excited about her family’s new bud.
After the news that the Bachelorette alum’s 20-year-old daughter Ricki Maynard—who she shares with her late fiancé Ricky Hendrick—is pregnant, Ricki had Emily share her feelings on, as an Instagram user prompted, a “baby outside of marriage.”
“Very against it,” Emily, with a smile on her face, said to the camera in her daughter’s Sept. 11 Instagram Story. “I cannot believe anybody would ever do that—unforgivable.”
Ricki is laughing at her side, with Emily’s sarcasm made clear. But to really drive home the message, Ricki followed up with a look at how Emily—who is also mom to kids Jennings Tyler, 9, Gibson Kyle, 8, Gatlin Avery, 7, Magnolia Belle, 4, and Jones West, 3, with husband Tyler Johnson—is preparing for the family’s new arrival.
The additional video features a wicker bassinet, a gift bag of baby goodies, more shopping bags filled with clothes, and a book titled The Little Big Book for Grandmothers. Ricki wrote over the footage, “These are all things she got on her own and she is not done. This is all stuff at her house too, not even my own.”
