A$AP Rocky Jumps on Rihanna After Not Guilty Verdict

A$AP Rocky and Rihanna are shining bright like a diamond.

After a jury acquitted the “Praise the Lord” rapper Feb. 18 of two counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm that allegedly stemmed from a 2021 argument with former bandmate Terell Ephron—also known as A$AP Relli—the “Diamonds” singer caught her boyfriend in a massive embrace.

As seen in footage from the reading of the verdict, Rocky (real name Rakim Mayers) raised his arm in the air and turned toward Rihanna, who sat in the front row of the courtroom. Amid squeals of excitement from attendees, Rocky ran and jumped over the courtroom’s railing and into Rihanna’s arms as she smiled and wrapped her arms around him.

Once the excitement had simmered and he returned to join his lawyers, Rocky stood to listen to the rest of the verdict, which prompted more hugging between him and his legal team.

Following the conclusion of the trial, Rihanna—who brought their kids RZA Athleston, 2, and Riot Rose, 18 months, to the Feb. 13 closing arguments—took her celebration online, sharing her gratitude for the positive result.
