Nicole Kidman wasn’t quite ready to make Fashion Week a full family affair.
And yet, the Oscar-winner’s 16-year-old daughter Sunday Rose Urban—whom she shares with husband Keith Urban—was determined to make her runway debut during the Miu Miu Paris Womenswear show at Paris Fashion Week in October. But first, Sunday had to convince her mom it was the right choice.
“That’s all driven by her,” Nicole admitted to The Hollywood Reporter in an interview published Dec. 4. “Me going, ‘Oh no, I don’t think so.'”
Luckily, Sunday had someone else in her corner: Miu Miu’s founder Miuccia Prada.
“Miuccia just loved her,” Nicole added, “and was like, ‘No, I want her.’ And Miuccia is so powerful as a woman. So that was a good match.”
Plus, it helped that she and the fashion icon have known each other for so long. As Nicole noted, “I’ve been in this industry for a while.”
