Rory McIlroy returns to TGL action in the SoFi Cup Playoffs on Tuesday, live on Sky Sports, as Tiger Woods continues to sit out of the 2026 season as he recovers from injury.

McIlroy’s Boston Common face Woods’ Jupiter Links Golf Club in the second of Tuesday’s double-header at the SoFi Center, having finished first and fourth respectively in the SoFi Cup standings.

The world No 2 said ‘we’ll see’ when asked whether he would feature in the semi-finals on Sunday, following a disappointing title defence at The Players and overcoming a back injury, but headlines for Boston Common alongside Adam Scott and last year’s Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley.

Akshay Bhatia, Max Homa and Tom Kim will represent Jupiter Links, with Woods once again watching from the sidelines and still yet to feature since undergoing another back surgery last October.

Woods said earlier in the year that he hoped to feature in the TGL this season, although his latest absence will raise questions over his possible attempt to make another comeback at The Masters next month.

The 50-year-old has previously hinted at targeting a return to action at Augusta National, which would mark his first major appearance since The Open in July 2024, with Woods likely to be asked about his injury progress during Tuesday’s semi-final.

The earlier semi sees Atlanta Drive GC continue their bid for back-to-back TGL titles against Los Angeles Golf Club, with changes to both teams after a busy run of big events on the PGA Tour.
