“I wanted to give my hair a break from the length,” she continued. “I haven’t done a chop like this in maybe two, three years and I’ve never gone this short.”
Mikayla, who did her makeup as she shared more about her haircut, explained why she cut her hair and returned to her jet-black tresses.
“People don’t understand why I did this to my hair and I get that,” she noted. “But I wanted to remind myself who the f–k I am, if I’m being honest. I am so lost right now. This is the Mikayla that I know, personally.”
“All the beauty standards and the pressure have 1,000 percent gotten to me, and I’m trying to get myself out of that,” she continued. “Just imagine thousands and thousands of people a day telling you what you should and should not do to your face. It’s not healthy.”
