Jonathan Bailey was revealed as People’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2025 on the Nov. 3 episode of the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
“It’s the honor of a lifetime,” the Bridgerton star told Jimmy—who himself was the magazine’s Sexiest Game Show Host this year—during the episode, before quipping, “Jimmy, thank you so much for turning it down so that I could be here.”
And while Jonathan told Jimmy that he unsuccessfully tried to leak the news to friends before the announcement—”They were like, “Yeah, yeah, yeah. Do your affirmations.”—the Wicked: For Good star can hardly blame them. After all, he’s still wrapping his head around the title.
“Obviously, I’m incredibly flattered,” he told People after they bestowed the honor. “And it’s completely absurd.”
As for whether he thinks friends and family will start treating him differently, Jonathan joked to Jimmy, “I f–king hope so!”
As the new Sexiest Man Alive, the 37-year-old officially dethroned 2024’s winner John Krasinski, who was shocked that he’d earned the title.
