Coldplay, Lady Gaga Pay Tribute to Ozzy Osbourne on Tour

Lady Gaga will always remember Ozzy Osbourne this way.

The “Bad Romance” singer honored the late Black Sabbath frontman (born John Michael Osbourne) hours after his death July 22 with a touching onstage tribute featuring one of his biggest hits.

During a stop on her Mayhem Ball tour in San Francisco, the 39-year-old opened her jacket to reveal a shirt bearing Ozzy’s name as she and her dancers took their final bow to his 1980 single “Crazy Train.”

Elsewhere, Cyndi Lauper performed the song—which served as Ozzy’s solo debut—during her concert in Raleigh the same night. After playing the track into the microphone from her phone for just over a minute and occasionally singing along, the 72-year-old turned on the device’s flashlight as members of the crowd followed suit.

“For Ozzy,” she told the audience. “Turn around, look at us. We’re a community of light.”

Coldplay did the same. The band dedicated their Nashville concert to Ozzy in addition to performing a cover of Black Sabbath’s 1972 hit “Changes.”
