Teddi Mellencamp says scans reveal multiple brain and lung tumors after her surgery

Teddi Mellencamp, former star of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” and daughter of singer John Mellencamp, has revealed that recent scans show she still has multiple tumors in her brain that were not able to be removed by surgery, and tumors in her lung.

The 43-year-old shared an update about her cancer treatment on Instagram on Thursday, saying scans showed two tumors in her lung, and all the tumors are “metastases of my melanoma.”

Mellencamp had revealed in 2022 that she was diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma, a type of skin cancer. She has documented her multiple melanoma surgeries on social media.

“The doctors are hopeful that immunotherapy will effectively treat them,” she wrote Thursday. “I am feeling positive — that I will win this battle, that I got this wig (I like the short hair, just not the bald spots), and that I can remember all of Angelina’s kids’ names.”

She ended her post quoting Bravo host and “Real Housewives” producer Andy Cohen — “with all due … f*** off, cancer.”

Mellencamp had announced on Instagram on Feb. 12 that she had experienced “severe and debilitating headaches” for weeks and ultimately landed her in the hospital, where doctors found multiple tumors on her brain. She said at the time that she’d undergo surgery to remove two tumors and the rest would later be treated through radiation therapy.

On Feb. 26 she shared an update, saying : “more tumors were removed than expected: 4 in total. This fight is not over, but that round has been won.”

Her Thursday post was met with warm wishes of health and encouragement by fans and friends.

Her “Real Housewives” castmate Kyle Richards wrote: “The best moment! Right after your surgery when you weren’t quite sure what year it was and I said ‘but I bet she can name all of Angelina Jolie’s kids names’ and you did.” Fellow castmate Erika Jayne commented: “Sending you love.”

“Real Housewives of Miami” star Alexia Echevarria wrote: “You got this Teddi ! You are a warrior and will win this ! Love you”
