Porsha Williams Speaks Out After Estranged Husband Simon Guobadia Detained by ICE

Porsha Williams says she is looking toward the future amid her estranged husband Simon Guobadia’s detainment.

Shortly after news broke that the Nigerian native was taken into custody by ICE, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star took to social media to share her perspective on the situation.

“It’s disheartening to see my estranged husband make choices that have led to this outcome,” Porsha wrote on her Instagram Stories Feb. 21. “At this moment my priority is moving forward with my family.”

Simon’s detainment comes amid President Donald Trump’s mass deportation plan, which he signed into effect earlier this year after beginning his second term. And according to U.S. Department of Homeland Security records obtained by People, he is currently being held at Stewart Detention Center in Lumpkin, Georgia.

E! News has reached out to Porsha, Simon and ICE for comment but hasn’t heard back.

But it was just last year that the businessman—who came to the United States in 1982 and was declared deportable in 1985 after overstaying his visa, per Atlanta’s WSB-TV 2—was celebrating over four decades residing in the country.
