It was clear as stars showed up to the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles in ensembles that embodied the early aughts. For instance, Kate Winslet arrived in a turquoise satin gown featuring a ruched bodice, hoping to take home Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Meanwhile, Eva Longoria—who took home the trophy for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series alongside her Desperate Housewives costars—attended in a strapless satin eggplant-purple gown that was completed with a chiffon hemline that was embroidered with sequined florals.
Her onscreen husband Ricardo Antonio Chavira arrived in an all-black ensemble, wearing a satin button-up shirt. And Jason Bateman wore a boxy black suit and loose-fitting pants, a typical look for the time but now appears more untailored rather than intentional.
