NEW ORLEANS — Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen won the NFL’s Most Valuable Player award on Thursday. He earned the honor over finalists Lamar Jackson, Saquon Barkley, Joe Burrow, and Jared Goff.

Allen threw for 3,731 yards, 28 touchdowns with six interceptions this season. He also added 531 yards and 12 scores on the ground.

Buffalo (13-4) was the AFC’s No. 2 seed behind the Chiefs, who later eliminated the Bills 32-29 in a thriller in the conference title game. Allen threw for 237 and two scores in defeat.

Earlier in the night, Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels took home the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year honor.

The No. 2 pick out of LSU, Daniels helped the franchise improve from just four wins a season ago to 12 in 2024. He was instrumental in leading the Commanders to two playoff victories and a spot in the NFC championship.

His 14 wins tied former Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger for the most victories by a rookie quarterback, including the postseason, in NFL history.

Daniels threw for 3,568 yards, 25 touchdowns and nine interceptions while also running for 891 yards and six scores.
