The Bachelor’s Grant Ellis Reveals Any Regrets on First Impression Rose Winner (Exclusive)

This story contains spoilers from the Jan. 27 episode of The Bachelor.

There’s no easy way to say goodbye—just ask Grant Ellis.

And the Bachelor star had to do just that over and over again while filming season 29 of the long-running franchise, a process he admitted he never quite got used to.

“Every rose ceremony, I struggled,” Grant exclusively told E! News. “I struggled to let somebody down, and things only got harder as the season progressed.”

Bachelor Nation will soon find out how the New Jersey native managed to narrow 25 prospective partners down to one perfect match at his final rose ceremony, but his big decision may not have been entirely his own.

“I’m happy with the ending and I’m happy with how things turned out,” Grant continued, though he also cautioned, “There was a tough decision to make and it wasn’t all on my part.”
